- Fresh off another French Open victory, Iga ÅšwiÄ…tek (+275) is favored to win Wimbledon.
- Ons Jabeur (+1000) has made the Wimbledon championship match two straight years.
- Markéta Vondroušová (+1400) is unlikely to repeat as champion.
- Mirra Andreeva (+1200) is coming on strong as a real contender.
The professional women’s tennis tour is in an outstanding place right now. Iga Świątek is a worthy No. 1, with top talents like Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina chasing her.
World No. 2 Coco Gauff leads a deep group of talented American players.Â
Will one of the major players be crowned 2024 champion at Wimbledon? Or will a new name rise up to claim their first slam?Â
As always, the BetMGM online sportsbook has all the tennis odds you need to enjoy one of the greatest events on the sports calendar.Â

Wimbledon Betting: Back-to-Back Champions Are Uncommon In Women’s Draw
The Williams sisters are the only women’s singles players to repeat at Wimbledon since Steffi Graf in 1995-96. So as much as I like Markéta VondrouÅ¡ová (+1400) on grass, I’m not betting on her to survive a very crowded field yet again.Â
Gauff is a good grass player who just made a semifinal run at Roland Garros, but she’s struggled to make deep runs at Wimbledon. At +700, the risk/reward proposition might not be there.
Rybakina (+450), who won the tournament in 2022, is a strong bet to win a quarter and contend for another title. If I’m betting a contender at the top of the table, I’m probably choosing her.
Ons Jabeur (+1000) has made two straight Wimbledon finals and is almost certainly the best blend of grass skill and raw odds return.Â
Wimbledon Betting: Can Iga Swiatek Get Over the Hump?
ÅšwiÄ…tek (+275) is the deserving No. 1 player in women’s tennis right now, but she isn’t nearly as dominant on faster courts (like grass) as she is on slower courts (like clay).Â
That’s why ÅšwiÄ…tek has won a combined five times at the French Open and U.S. Open but never even made the finals at Wimbledon or the Australian Open.Â
Świątek did win Wimbledon as a junior before becoming a professional player. But on the WTA circuit, she’s still looking for her first quarterfinal victory on the London lawn.
Could 2024 be the year? Of course it could. ÅšwiÄ…tek is only a couple weeks removed from demolishing the competition at Roland Garros, and those good vibes could sustain her championship form in July.Â
However, there’s no denying that other players like Rybakina and Jabeur are better grass players, which means Świątek will have a much harder time mounting a deep run in July than she did in June.
When you consider that, it’s very difficult to buy her at the top of the market.Â
Wimbledon Betting: Sleepers to Consider
The top sleeper – who isn’t doing much sleeping anymore – is up-and-coming Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva (+1200). The 17-year-old made the fourth round at Wimbledon last year after coming out of the qualifying bracket. This month, she made it all the way to the French Open semifinals. She’s about to crack the WTA top 20.Â
American Madison Keys (+1600) had a strong clay season and reached the quarterfinals in London in 2023. Her good form could carry her several rounds into the tournament once again.Â
Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina (+2500) has made two of the last four Wimbledon semifinals and will be a threat to win her quarter once again, depending on the draw.Â
