Bad Homburg 2025: Prize Money for Final Wimbledon Warm-Up

Germany's Angelique Kerber waves after defeating France's Kristina Mladenovic during their women's singles tennis match on day one of the Wimbledon tennis championships in London, Monday, June 27, 2022. Three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber withdrew from the U.S. Open on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, because she is pregnant, announcing the news via social media by joking that “two against one just isn’t a fair competition” and posting a string of emojis that included a baby bottle.

  • Bad Homburg is the final WTA destination before Wimbledon.
  • The total prize purse at Bad Homburg is more than $1 million.

Perhaps because of its amusing anglicized name, Bad Homburg enjoys a certain distinction as one of the last, best tournaments right before Wimbledon. Its venue, TC Bad Homburg, was the first tennis club on the European mainland.

This year’s 2025 draw features a slew of top players on the women’s tour, all of whom are trying to get in one last tournament run before Wimbledon kicks off in about a week. Six of the current top 10 players are scheduled to be on the grass in Germany.

Keep an eye on Mirra Andreeva, who will be considered a top contender in London in most tennis odds markets. Iga Swiatek is also playing, looking to round out her grass form and seize her first Wimbledon title as a tour professional.
