Odds to Win the 2026 WNBA Championship

WNBA Title Odds 2026: Lynx Pass Aces

The Minnesota Lynx have passed the Las Vegas Aces as the betting favorites to win the 2026 WNBA championship. The Lynx are +250 to win it all, giving them an implied probability of 28.57%.

Minnesota started with a +400 value to win the championship, trailing both the Aces and the Indiana Fever in the opening market. Las Vegas has fallen to second in this table, but its title odds have gone from +300 to +275.

On some level, this movement was expected. The Lynx were the best team in the league last year, even though the Aces won the championship.

The Aces won their title in four years, earning a 4-0 sweep over the Phoenix Mercury in the 2025 WNBA Finals. Las Vegas opened at +400 to win it all when BetMGM released its championship market last offseason.

However, the Aces’ championship run was anything but ordinary. They were 12-13 and trading at +2200 to win the title in late July. 

The Lynx and New York Liberty were actually the betting favorites for much of the 2025 campaign. Minnesota fell in the semifinals, and New York was eliminated in the first round. There were four different title favorites between the Liberty, Lynx, Mercury, and Aces.

And yet, the 2026 WNBA championship market might feature even more volatility.

For one, it remains unclear if there will be a season or when it will begin. The current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is set to expire, and a new deal must be agreed to before the WNBA can resume.

Assuming a new CBA is in place, there could be a ton of player movement this offseason. Most non-rookie-scale players opted to let their contracts expire this winter in hopes of landing a bigger payday in 2026. That means many of the best players are technically unrestricted free agents, including the Aces’ entire core.

As a result, I don’t see any reason to get involved in this market before rosters can even start to take shape. At first glance, I’m intrigued by the value of the Golden State Valkyries, who became the first expansion team ever to make the playoffs in their first season.

Natalie Nakase won the WNBA’s Coach of the Year award, guiding a team of role players to a 23-21 record. If the Valkyries can convince a star player to go to San Francisco, this team could quickly become a championship contender.

Golden State, which began as a 125/1 long shot last year, set a high bar for expansion teams. The Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo are 250/1 long shots entering their first year as expansion franchises.
