The No. 1 seed Minnesota Lynx will continue their quest for a WNBA championship when they travel to face the No. 8 Golden State Valkyries for Game 2 on Wednesday.
Minnesota, which is the front-runner in the latest WNBA championship odds, cruised in its 101-72 victory over Golden State during Sunday’s Game 1. The Lynx are now one win away from advancing to the semifinals.
Game 2 will begin at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday at the SAP Center (San Jose) on ESPN.

Based on the initial WNBA betting lines, I don’t have a favorite Lynx vs. Valkyries prediction. I expect Minnesota to take care of business against Golden State on Wednesday.
Once more markets become available, I see myself being more interested in backing the Valkyries in the first half. They got off to a good start in Game 1, taking a 28-21 lead after the opening period. They scored 40 points in the first half before the Lynx took control of the game.
In what will be their lone home playoff game, the Valkyries’ fan base should be fired up for Game 2. This is perhaps even more true with the game unable to take place inside Chase Center because they didn’t expect to be the first expansion team ever to make the playoffs.
Golden State led the league in average attendance during the regular season, creating an excellent home-court advantage. The Valkyries were second in the league in defensive rating at home, going 14-8 inside Chase Center this season.
The Valkyries are a team worth backing at home, especially under these circumstances.
