- The Los Angeles Sparks have the lowest win total (9.5) in 2024.
- Los Angeles went 17-23 last year, its best finish since 2019.
The Los Angeles Sparks haven’t made the playoffs since 2020, but that streak is unlikely to change this WNBA season.
Los Angeles enters the 2024 WNBA campaign with the longest price to make the postseason and win the championship via the latest odds at the online sportsbook.

Win total: 9.5

To miss playoffs: -800

Curt Miller, who replaced Derek Fisher as head coach last season, helped the Sparks exceed expectations. Los Angeles went 17-23, its best win output since finishing 22-12 in 2019.
But expectations are even lower for the Sparks this year after losing Nneka Ogwumike to the Seattle Storm and Jordin Canada to the Atlanta Dream.
Los Angeles will be a young team focused on its long-term outlook. That’s why the Sparks are the only team in the league to have a single-digit win total, though it costs -140 to bet the over.
Sparks 2024 Betting Prediction
Prediction: Over 9.5 Wins (-140)
This is more of a bet on Miller than anything else.
Miller has won 10 or more games in all eight seasons as a head coach, producing a 157-109 clip over that span.
I believe Miller will continue to get the most out of this year’s young roster, which added rookies Cameron Brink (No. 2 pick) and Rickea Jackson (No. 4 pick) to the mix.
That rookie duo joins a rotation with a surprising number of options. Lexie Brown and Zia Cooke are set to return in the backcourt, while Kia Nurse, acquired in a trade with Seattle, could compete for a starting spot.
Miller will figure out how everyone fits together. Expect the Sparks to be once again scrappy this season.
