Who Has Scored 40 Points in the 2025 WNBA Season?

Dallas Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers is currently the only player with a 40-point game in the 2025 season. She matched Cynthia Cooper for the highest-scoring game by a rookie in league history with 44 points against the Los Angeles Sparks on Aug. 20.

Bueckers became the first player in WNBA history to score 40-plus points while shooting at least 80%. She also tied Deanna Nolan for the third-highest scoring game in the Wings franchise history.

Liz Cambage, A’ja Wilson, and Riquna Williams are the only players to score 50 points in a game in WNBA history.

The record for most points scored by a player in an individual game in WNBA history is 53. Liz Cambage and A’ja Wilson hold the record for most points scored in the WNBA.

Cambage scored 53 points on 17-of-22 shooting as a member of the Dallas Wings on July 17, 2018. The Wings earned a 104-87 win over the New York Liberty.

Wilson accomplished the feat on Aug. 22, 2023, leading the Las Vegas Aces to a 112-100 victory over the Atlanta Dream. Wilson went 16-for-23 from the floor and 20-of-21 from the charity stripe.
