The record for most points scored by an individual player in a WNBA playoff game is 42, which has been accomplished three times.

Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier was the most recent player to score 42 points in the WNBA playoffs, doing so in Round 1 against the Phoenix Mercury on Sept. 25, 2024. Breanna Stewart recorded 42 points for the Seattle Storm against the Las Vegas Aces in the 2022 semifinals.

Angel McCoughtry became the first player to score 42 points in a WNBA postseason game as a member of the Atlanta Dream against the New York Liberty in the 2010 Eastern Conference finals.
