A spot in the WNBA Finals is up for grabs when the Las Vegas Aces host the Indiana Fever at 9:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Michelob ULTRA Arena on ESPN2.
All the pressure is on the Aces, who are on the verge of a fourth trip to the WNBA Finals in six years. They have won two of the last three titles and would be favored in a potential matchup against the Phoenix Mercury.
But the Fever have already won three games while facing elimination. Can they pull off one more upset?

Based on the initial WNBA betting lines, I like taking the points with Indiana for my favorite Fever vs. Aces prediction in Tuesday’s Game 5.
I have been on Indiana for much of the series due to a combination of the market underrating the Fever and overrating the Aces. Las Vegas was laying -9 and -9.5 in the first two home games of this series.
While the spread has dropped a bit, I’m not sure it’s enough based on the fact that this could be a low-scoring matchup. The under has come through in three of the four games, but there is a chance this will be even more of a defensive battle in an elimination spot for both teams.
The Fever have developed plenty of experience in this situation. They faced elimination twice in a best-of-three series against the Atlanta Dream during the first round. They won both games, including Game 3 as 4.5-point road underdogs.
Indiana’s 90-83 victory over Las Vegas in Game 4 should give the team plenty of confidence. The Fever managed to win the battle at the charity stripe, knocking down 26-of-34 at the line and putting many key Aces players in foul trouble.
If the Fever can replicate that formula, they can stay within striking distance against the Aces on Tuesday. I like the spread at +7 or better for my Fever vs. Aces Game 5 prediction.
