Fever vs. Aces Prediction: Tonight’s Game 2 WNBA Semifinals Preview

  • Get WNBA expert picks and analysis for Fever vs. Aces.
  • Las Vegas is a 9.5-point favorite for Game 2.
  • The Aces are -220 to win the series.

Coming off an upset in Game 1, the stakes are even higher for Tuesday’s Game 2 between the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever at 9:30 p.m. ET in Michelob ULTRA Arena.

Despite being 9.5-point underdogs, the Fever delivered an 89-73 upset victory over the Aces on Sunday. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana with 34 points on 12-of-23 shooting in the win.

Las Vegas is favored by 9.5 points in the rematch.

Here’s a look at the latest WNBA odds and my favorite Fever vs. Aces prediction for Game 2:

Fever vs. Aces Odds for Game 2: Spread, Total, Moneyline

  • Fever spread: +9.5
  • Aces spread: -9.5
  • Total: 164.5

Fever vs. Aces Prediction: Game 2 on Sept. 23

My Fever vs. Aces prediction suggests taking the points with Indiana, as the market continues to overvalue Las Vegas.

This has been my theory for the entire postseason, as I believed the Aces’ 16-game win streak to end the regular season led to an overcorrection in the market. All of a sudden, Las Vegas was being priced as a bona fide championship contender alongside the Minnesota Lynx.

The problem with that is that nobody deserves to be on the Lynx’s level. They are head and shoulders above the rest of the league, while there isn’t much separating the rest of the playoff teams from each other. That was on display when three of the four Round 1 matchups went the distance.

I was happy to take the points with the Seattle Storm in all three games of the Aces’ opening-round series. The Storm covered the spread twice. The Fever then covered (and won outright) as sizable underdogs in Game 1 of the semifinals.

Despite that result, the spread remains the same from Sunday.

I struggle to see the Aces winning by double-digits against a competitive Fever squad, which is why I’m taking the points as long as the spread is +8.5 or better.

Prediction: Fever +9.5
