- Get WNBA expert picks and analysis for Fever vs. Aces.
- Las Vegas is a 9.5-point favorite for Game 1.
- The Aces are -1400 to win the series.
The 2025 WNBA semifinals will start with a matchup between the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday in Michelob ULTRA Arena on ABC.
Both teams needed three games to win their Round 1 matchups.
The Aces made a stop on the final possession of their 74-73 victory over the Seattle Storm in Thursday’s Game 3. Earlier that night, the Fever recorded a comeback 87-85 victory over the Atlanta Dream to become the first lower seed to win a Round 1 series since 2022.
Las Vegas begins this best-of-five series as a considerable favorite, laying -9.5 in Sunday’s Game 1.
Here’s a look at the latest WNBA odds and my favorite Fever vs. Aces prediction:
Fever vs. Aces Odds for Game 1: Spread, Total, Moneyline
- Fever spread: +9.5
- Aces spread: -9.5

Fever vs. Aces Prediction: Game 1 on Sept. 21
I’ll continue to fade Las Vegas as a considerable favorite, as my Fever vs. Aces prediction involves taking the points with Indiana ahead of Sunday’s Game 1.
I was on the Storm in all three games of their Round 1 series against the Aces. They covered the spread in the final two contests, including as 8.5-point underdogs in Game 3.
Las Vegas is a deserving favorite in this spot, but the spread is too high when both teams are coming off narrow victories on Thursday. I expect the two squads to feel each other out in Game 1, leading me to believe that the score will stay within single digits.
There isn’t much to learn from the regular-season series. The Fever went 2-1 against the Aces, but all three matchups took place before Las Vegas moved Jewell Loyd to the bench and went on a 16-game win streak to end the regular season.
The Aces appeared to be more vulnerable during Round 1, particularly against the Storm’s interior length. Las Vegas lost the rebounding battle in its last two games, opening a path to success for an Indiana team that led the league in second-chance points this season.
The Fever don’t have anyone on the same level as A’ja Wilson, particularly without Caitlin Clark, but Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell have proven to be a formidable duo. If they can outplay Aces guard Jackie Young, this series could be closer than expected.
At the very least, I expect Indiana to put up a fight in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Prediction: Fever +9.5 (Pick made Friday)
