- Get WNBA expert picks and analysis for Aces vs. Fever.
- Las Vegas is a 4.5-point favorite for Game 3.
- The Aces are -425 to win the series.
The semifinal series is even at 1-1, with the Indiana Fever getting a chance to host the Las Vegas Aces. Tipoff for Game 3 is 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on ESPN2.
The first two games of this series haven’t been too competitive. The Fever earned an 89-73 win over the Aces as nine-point underdogs in Game 1. Las Vegas returned the favor with a 90-68 victory in Tuesday’s Game 2.
What will take place in a pivotal matchup for this best-of-five series on Friday?
Here’s a look at the latest WNBA odds and my favorite Aces vs. Fever prediction for Game 3:
Aces vs. Fever Odds for Game 3: Spread, Total, Moneyline
- Aces spread: -4.5
- Fever spread: +4.5
- Total: 162.5
Aces vs. Fever Prediction: Game 3 on Sept. 26
According to the initial WNBA betting lines, I’m targeting the over for my Aces vs. Fever prediction ahead of Friday’s Game 3.
The under has come through in the first two games due to the losing team not holding up their end in lopsided affairs. The total was 165.5 in Game 1, finishing below that mark by 3.5 points. Game 2 ended up seven points below the closing total of 165.
Assuming Friday’s matchup is more competitive, however, I like the chances of the two teams clearing this total.
One thing working in my favor is how much better the Fever are at home. They averaged 88.3 points per game in their 22 home contests, a scoring average that led the league and was 3.4 points more than their overall average of 84.9.
Indiana’s Aliyah Boston is one of the key players with distinct home-road splits. She averaged 16.5 points per game at home, which was three points better than her average on the road. That’s notable considering she has 16 points through two games in this series.
On the other side, the Aces are more than capable of a big offensive night.
The key to their 16-game win streak at the end of the regular season was that this team returned to being elite on the offensive end. Las Vegas led the league with an average of 88.6 points per game during that win streak.
I’ll back both teams finding offensive success in a crucial matchup on Friday.
Prediction: Over 162.5
