Brazilian knockout artist Tallison Teixeira rose to prominence with his fantastic first-round knockout finish of season veteran Justin Tafa in his UFC debut at UFC 312. This allowed him to place in the top 15 rankings of the heavyweight division.

Teixeira’s next fight will be against fellow UFC heavyweight contender Tai Tuivasa, whom he’ll face at UFC 325 on January 31 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

He’s coming off his first pro loss at the hands of Derrick Lewis at UFC Nashville last July 12 at the Bridgestone Arena.

Heading into that match with Lewis, Teixeira was the considerable betting favorite at the UFC odds boards, but failed to capitalize it.
