The clash of heavyweight hitters Sean Sharaf and Steven Asplund will be part of the UFC Vegas 112 card on Dec. 13, which takes place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Fresh off his fantastic performance at Dana White’s Contender Series, Asplund heads into the match as the betting favorite with -220 UFC odds. Sharaf, on the other hand, is coming off a loss in his previous match and will be the +180 betting underdog.

UFC Vegas 112: Sean Sharaf vs. Steven Asplund: Prediction

I predict a TKO/KO finish for Asplund against Sharaf in this showdown of heavyweight contenders, as his longer reach will be the biggest difference, especially in the early exchanges of the match.

Undoubtedly, both are heavy hitters, but I think that Asplund can land first because it’s going to be a game of inches, and it certainly counts in every exchange. This slightly longer reach will be substantial in the early stages of the fight.

Sharaf and Asplund are also forward-pressure fighters, but I think that the latter will be more aggressive on fight night because he won’t need to cover a lot of distance when throwing his punches and kicks from his advantage in physicality.

Sean Sharaf’s Recent Fight Results

Sharaf is a heavyweight contender with a 4-1 pro MMA record. He was an undefeated fighter when he joined the UFC, but was defeated by Junior Tafa in his octagon debut in October 2024 via second-round stoppage.

Steven Asplund’s Recent Fight Results

Asplund was an LFA standout with a 5-1 pro MMA record before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series last September. He fought Anthony Guarascio and scored a 16-second stoppage victory to earn a UFC contract.
