The first fight in the main card of the UFC Vegas 112 card will be the heavyweight match between Kennedy Nzechukwu and Marcus Buchecha on Dec. 13, which goes down inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Both are coming off defeats in their previous fights, but Nzechukwu is going to be the betting favorite with -130 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Buchecha, who only has one fight in the UFC, heads into the clash as the +110 betting underdog.

UFC Vegas 112: Kennedy Nzechukwu vs. Marcus Buchecha: Prediction

I predict a submission victory for Buchecha over Nzechukwu, because of his superior grappling skills. Although Nzechukwu has all the advantages in physical attributes, I believe that once Buchecha takes him down, it’ll be neutralized.

Nzechukwu is coming off a submission loss in his previous fight, and Buchecha is one of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu athletes in the world, so once he secures that takedown, I see him dominate him and eventually maneuver to a submission win.

Furthermore, I think that Buchecha has settled in with the Las Vegas-based promotion, especially since that underwhelming performance in his debut. A lot of that lackluster showing has got to do with the immense pressure and hype surrounding him. But this time, that pressure is now off his shoulders.

Kennedy Nzechukwu’s Recent Fight Results

Nzechukwu has been with the UFC since 2019, first competing as a light heavyweight contender. He eventually moved up to the heavyweight division and recorded two wins and one loss. He defeated Chris Barnett and Lukasz Brzeski, but lost to Valter Walker.

Marcus Buchecha’s Recent Fight Results

Buchecha is a decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete before he transitioned to MMA in 2021. He first competed in ONE Championship and had four wins and one loss before he signed with the UFC. But his octagon debut was a decision loss to Martin Buday last July.
