Former UFC women’s strawweight title challenger Amanda Lemos is back in action, as she takes on Gillian Robertson on Dec. 13 as part of the UFC Vegas 112 card, which goes down inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

With her four-fight win streak, Robertson is going to the match as the betting favorite with -180 UFC odds. Lemos on the other hand, will be the slight betting underdog with +150 odds at BetMGM’s online sportsbook.

UFC Vegas 112: Amanda Lemos vs. Gillian Robertson: Prediction

My prediction is a submission victory to Robertson against Lemos, since she’s the better grappler and on a streak right now. Additionally, Robertson is the younger and more explosive fighter than Lemos at this point of their careers.

At 38, Lemos may have slowed down since she’s already at the back end of her professional MMA career. If this was the version of Lemos from three years ago, it would have been a different story, but she’s now approaching 40.

Robertson’s best path to victory is to time a perfect level change during a striking exchange with Lemos, then once she secures a takedown, the surging Canadian MMA star can work her way into a submission technique to force a tap out of her Brazilian foe.

Amanda Lemos’ Recent Fight Results

Lemos was a former Jungle Fight champion and a former UFC strawweight title challenger. She recorded two wins and three losses in her last five fights, as she won against Mackenzie Dern and Iasmin Lucindo. Her losses were courtesy of Zhang Weili, Virna Jandiroba, and Tatiana Suarez.

Gillian Robertson’s Recent Fight Results

Robertson has been with the UFC since 2017, and she has a promotional record of 13 wins and six losses. In her last five bouts, she scored four victories against Polyana Viana, Michelle Waterson-Gomez, Luana Pinheiro, and Marina Rodriguez. Her lone loss during this stretch was against Tabatha Ricci.
