Reigning UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will be gunning for a historic fourth successful title defense in one calendar year, as he welcomes the challenge of Petr Yan in a rematch, which takes place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 6.
The two first crossed paths in March 2023 in the main event of a fight night card, and Dvalishvili comfortably won via unanimous decision. This is the primary reason why he’s the betting favorite with -455 UFC odds.

UFC 323: Dvalisvili vs. Yan 2: Prediction
I predict a unanimous decision victory for Dvalishvili against Yan, as his wrestling and grappling skills are unstoppable right now. With his unlimited cardio and pace, I don’t think Yan will be able to keep up with Dvalishvili for five rounds.
Dvalishvili drowned Yan with his relentless takedown attempts, leaving him confused during their first match two years ago. The Russian MMA star also failed to establish his offense, especially his boxing, because he’s too worried about the takedowns.
Dvalishvili fully capitalized on this by attacking and chopping his opponent’s lead leg with vicious calf kicks, ultimately destroying it. If Yan can’t catch Dvalishvili with a knockout punch in the first two rounds, it’ll be a replay of their first fight in 2023.
