Although he’s a former titleholder, Moreno heads into the match as the betting underdog with +110 UFC odds. On the other hand, Taira, who has a better pro record and only has one career loss, is going to be the -130 betting favorite.

UFC 323: Brandon Moreno vs. Tatsuro Taira: Prediction
I predict a unanimous decision win for Moreno against Taira because he’s the more experienced fighter and a slightly better striker against the Japanese contender. He’ll use every ounce of experience to win the exchanges on the feet.
Both are savage submission artists, but I think that they’ll cancel each other’s grappling skills. This is why I believe this match will be a striking affair. But Moreno has the more technical skills with elite boxing.
Although I don’t expect a stoppage win for Moreno, I won’t be surprised if he catches Taira with a solid combination that would knock him down and significantly compromise him. His youth and durability will help Taira survive Moreno’s onslaught.
