The welterweight clash between ranked contenders Sean Brady and Michael Morales will be part of the UFC 322 main card on Nov. 15, which takes place inside Madison Square Garden in New York.

Because of his higher position in the rankings, Brady heads into the match as the slight betting favorite with -145 UFC odds. On the other hand, Morales, who despite having an undefeated pro MMA record, will be the +120 slight betting underdog.

UFC 322: Sean Brady vs. Michael Morales: Prediction

I predict a unanimous decision win for Brady against Morales, because of the better grappling skills of the former, which the latter won’t be able to contain for three rounds. It’s another classic battle between a striker and a grappler.

Brady has shown immense improvement in his skills since that loss to Belal Muhammad, particularly in how he weaponizes his jiu-jitsu. He now uses it as his main point of attack to either submit or dominate opponents on the mat.

Morales is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the weight class right now, but he hasn’t fought an elite grappler like Brady. Sure, Burns was a BJJ black belt, but he’s on the sunset of his career now, while Brady is still at the peak of his career.

Once Brady secures a takedown against Morales, he’ll be able to threaten with several submissions and rain down ground and pound strikes, which will tire out Morales. Although a submission finish is a very possible outcome, I still believe that this fight goes the distance in favor of Brady via the judges’ scorecards.

Sean Brady’s Recent Fight Results

Brady was an undefeated fighter and Cage Fury Fighting Championships titleholder when he signed with the UFC. He had a successful debut with a decision victory over Court McGee in October 2019.

He quickly earned his spot in the division’s rankings with a record of 7-1 in his next eight bouts. Brady scored wins over Ismail Naurdiev, Christian Aguilera, Jake Matthews, Michael Chiesa, Kelvin Gastelum, Burns, and Leon Edwards. His only loss was at the hands of Muhammad.

Michael Morales’ Recent Fight Results

Morales was a dominant fighter in the South American MMA circuit before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2021, where he secured a decision win over Nikolay Veretennikov to earn a roster spot.

The Ecuadorian MMA star swept his next five UFC matches with victories over Trevin Giles, Adam Fugitt, Max Griffin, Matthews, Neil Magny, and, most recently, Burns, whom he finished via TKO in one round last May.
