UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili reasserted his mastery over Sean O’Malley during their championship rematch at UFC 316 to retain his title via third-round submission finish.

“The Machine” lived up to his status as the consensus UFC betting favorite in this match and dominated “Suga” in the first two rounds with his superior wrestling and grappling skills before he found the finish in the third round.

The incredible performance by Dvalishvili has secured him an additional $50,000 bonus for the performance bonus of the night award, along with three other fighters on the card. This bonus added to the total of his payout to $2.3 million, which is the biggest payout from the PPV event.
