A new UFC welterweight champion was crowned at UFC 304 after Belal Muhammad defied the UFC odds and beat the former champion Leon Edwards by unanimous decision in the headliner of the card inside the Co-op Live in Manchester, England, on July 27.

Muhammad employed a grappling-based fight approach against Edwards to eliminate his striking advantage and inflict damage down the mat with ground-and-pound strikes. Because of this latest triumph, he has now recorded his 11th straight win and the fourth-longest active unbeaten streak in the UFC.
Aside from Muhammad’s stunning performance, three other fighters stood out from the card and received an additional $50,000 bonus for the Performance of the Night, as Tom Aspinall, Paddy Pimblett, and Mick Parkin secured the honor.
