How To Bet on Cubs Odds

Chicago Cubs Futures Odds

Will the Cubs win the NL Central? Do they have a contender in NL MVP odds? What are their MLB team postseason odds? These are some types of team and futures odds.

For example: If you bet $80 on the Cubs to make the postseason (+100), the bet would settle when the Cubs clinch a postseason berth or are eliminated from contention.

Chicago Cubs Run Lines

If you bet on the run line (aka spread), you’re betting on the final margin of the Cubs game.

For example, if you bet $25 on the Cubs -1.5 (+200) against the Chicago White Sox, the Cubs must win the game by at least two runs.

BetMGM also offers alternate run lines (aka alt spreads), for all MLB games. Instead of betting the Cubs -1.5 (+175), you could bet the Cubs -2.5 (+250). 

Chicago Cubs Moneylines

Will the Cubs win the game? The margin of victory is irrelevant.

For example: If you bet $75 on the Cubs -125 against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago must win the game. 

If the game ends in a tie, the bet is a push, which results in a refund to your account balance.

Chicago Cubs Over/Under Totals

How many combined runs will be scored by both teams? The final result of the game is irrelevant.

For example: If you bet $35 on the over 6.5 (-105) in the Cubs game against the San Francisco Giants, the teams must combine for at least seven runs. 

BetMGM also offers alternate over/under totals for all MLB games. Instead of betting over 6.5 (-105), you could bet over 9.5 (+350), a wager with a higher potential payout.

If the combined point total is identical to the over/under total, the bet is a push.

Chicago Cubs Parlays

You can combine multiple Cubs bets into one parlay bet for more excitement and a bigger potential payout. If the bets are from the same game, it’s called a Same Game Parlay.

For example: If you build a three-leg parlay with the Cubs’ moneyline (-150) against the Milwaukee Brewers, Giants’ run line (-1.5, +200) against the Colorado Rockies and over 7.5 (-110) in the Minnesota Twins’ game against the Kansas City Royals, you need all three legs to hit for your parlay to cash.

If one leg is a push, it’s eliminated from the parlay. The odds (and payout) are recalculated without that leg.
