- Wolves is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Tottenham.
- The dog has won three of the last four matches between Wolves and Tottenham.
- My Wolves vs. Tottenham prediction is the total over 2.5 goals.
On the heels of a midweek Europa League fixture, Tottenham travel to the Midlands for a meeting with Wolves.
Spurs eased their way to a 3-1 win over Southampton on Matchday 31. The win ended a four-match winless run for Tottenham, which sits 13th in the table.
Wolves came from behind to beat Ipswich Town 2-1, securing a 12-point advantage over the final relegation spot. Earlier this season, Wolves drew against Tottenham, 2-2.
Check out the Premier League odds and my Wolves vs. Tottenham prediction.

Tottenham vs Wolves: Prediction
Based on the short rest spot for Tottenham and Wolves returning Matheus Cunha, my Tottenham vs. Wolves prediction is the Total Over 2.5 Goals (-160).
Each of the last three meetings between these sides finished over 2.5 goals, including a 2-2 thriller at Tottenham earlier this season.
While that match featured backup central defenders for Tottenham, a full-strength unit shouldn’t be expected on Sunday.
Tottenham host Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, a far more important match for their season. With the quick turnaround, it’s reasonable to expect rotation from Ange Postecoglou.
That likely opens the door for Wolves to create offensively, especially with talisman Matheus Cunha returning from a four-match ban.
Earlier this season, Wolves generated 1.86 post-shot xG against Tottenham. That marks three in a row where Wolves surpassed 1.7 post-shot xG against Sunday’s opposition.
That said, I place little trust in the Wolves defense. Only four sides – including Tottenham – own a worse post-shot xGA record than Wolves, per fbref.com.
Sunday’s fixture also represents a strong sell-high spot on Wolves’ defense. Over their last four matches, they’ve faced nothing but teams outside the bottom five in post-shot xGF.
For all of Tottenham’s issues this season, it’s worth acknowledging they’re sixth in post-shot xG.
History also likes this match to clear 2.5 goals.
Since 2012, matches featuring this total are 100-55 to the over, assuming two factors:
- The road team’s average number of goals scored falls between 1.5 and 1.9
- The road team’s average number of goals allowed falls between 1.4 and 1.8
When those road teams posted a previous game margin between 0 and +3: 70-30 to the over.
As a result, I like a high-scoring contest on Sunday at Molineux.
