Leeds ended a four-game losing streak with a home win against Chelsea. They followed it up with a 3-3 draw against Liverpool before a 1-1 draw against Brentford. 

Palace currently sits fifth in the league table. A 3-0 loss to Manchester City ended a two-game win streak for Oliver Glasner’s side, which has won five of eight on the road.

Based on Leeds’ potential positive regression at home and Palace’s nightmare scheduling spot, my Leeds vs Crystal Palace prediction is Leeds Draw, No Bet (-115). 

What a disaster spot for Palace. The team played Sunday at home and faces a Thursday Europa Conference League match in London. 

Then, they travel to Leeds with only a day between games before an EFL Cup tie at Arsenal on Tuesday. 

That schedule would scare the EPL heavy hitters. For a team like Palace with limited squad depth, it’s an unmitigated disaster. 

Now they’re taking on a Leeds team that has dropped all three points only twice at home. 

They’ve also run very unlucky in those home matches, posting a +2 goal differential against a +5.5 expected goal differential. 

Only one team – Newcastle – held Leeds to under 1.5 expected goals at Elland Road. As underdogs, Leeds created 2.3 xG against Chelsea and 1.9 against Liverpool. 

Palace has proved a good visitor this season, going 5-1-2 (W-D-L) on the road. However, their +6 goal differential comes against a +1.2 expected goal differential. 

If simultaneous regression occurs in this fixture, I question if Palace goes to Leeds and wins outright. This season, only Tottenham and Aston Villa (both undeservingly) achieved that feat.
