Ipswich Town vs Brentford Prediction & Odds

  • Ipswich Town is predicted to be a +0.5-goal home underdog against Brentford.
  • Brentford has won each of its last seven EPL matches against promoted teams.
  • My Ipswich Town vs. Brentford prediction is a Same Game Parlay backing Brentford.

Brentford look to continue their ascent up the table on Saturday with a trip to Ipswich Town.

The Bees picked up a 4-3 win over Manchester United on Matchday 35 and now sit ninth in the league table. With a win on Saturday, they could move ahead of Bournemouth for eighth.

Ipswich, which has already been relegated to the Championship, stole a late point at Everton. The 2-2 draw ended a two-match losing streak for the Tractor Boys.

Brentford vs Ipswich Town: Prediction

Based on Brentford’s record in games where they score two or more goals, my Ipswich Town vs Brentford prediction is a SGP: Brentford Moneyline + Team Total Over 1.5 Goals (-135)

When Brentford finds the net twice in a game, they’ve basically proven invincible in terms of results.

Thomas Frank’s side has scored two or more goals 15 times in the Premier League this season. They’re 14-1-0 (W-D-L) in such contests, with the lone failure as underdogs to Man City.

The odds have Brentford as a massive favorite to score twice against Ipswich Town. As of May 5, the Bees are -190 to achieve that feat for an implied probability of 65.5%.

It should also be noted that Brentford are 5-0 SU against the promoted teams this season, all of which surrender north of 1.8 non-penalty expected goals per 90 minutes, per fbref.com.

Sample only those five matches, and bettors will find the Brentford attack produced dominant results.

Not only has Brentford scored two or more goals in all five, but they’ve scored three or more in all five. Against Ipswich Town at home, Brentford slipped five goals into the net.

The underlying metrics support their efficiency in those matches.

Across all five games against Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town, Brentford scored 20 goals off 15.1 expected and 17 post-shot expected goals.

The Bees have also cleared 1.5 goals in three straight matches, generating at least 1.7 post-shot xG in all three of those games.

As a result, I like pairing the Brentford team total with their moneyline on Saturday.
