- Fulham is predicted to be a +0.5-goal home underdog against Man United.
- Manchester United has won each of its last eight EPL away matches against Fulham.
- My Fulham vs Man United prediction is the Manchester United Moneyline (+125).
Manchester United aims to extend its winning streak against Fulham on Matchday 2.Â
Ruben Amorim’s side fell 1-0 at home to Arsenal on Matchday 1. However, the Red Devils won the expected goals battle and produced strong metrics, albeit after falling behind.Â
Fulham used a late goal to rescue a 1-1 draw against Brighton. Now, Marco Silva’s side aims to earn home points against Manchester United for the first time since 2010.Â

Man United vs Fulham: Prediction
Based on Man United’s strong attacking metrics against Arsenal and its previous success against Fulham, my Fulham vs Man United prediction is the Man United Moneyline (+125).Â
I want to monitor this line throughout the week before making a final decision. While I left Matchday 1 impressed with United, I want to see if this line gets to +115.Â
If United close at +115 or better, I’ll like the angle a lot more.Â
United created 1.5 expected goals against Arsenal on Sunday. Of course, it came on 22 total shots for an xG per shot rating of 0.06, suggesting low shot quality.Â
Part of me wonders if the switch from playing as an underdog to a favorite affects that output.Â
Additionally, United posted less-than-impressive metrics in its last trip to Craven Cottage. Expected goals rated United’s 1-0 win as a 0.67-0.25 Fulham win.Â
From a post-shot xG standpoint, United lost 0.19-0.16, per fotmob.com.Â
At the same time, United played on short rest for that fixture after a Thursday Europa League match. It also came with a significantly worse version of the squad.Â
But Fulham produced an impressive defensive performance on Matchday 1. If the match proves lower-scoring, it likely benefits Fulham as home underdogs.Â
On Matchday 1 against Brighton, Silva’s side allowed only 0.69 non-penalty xG and 0.27 non-penalty post-shot xG.Â
That’s enough to keep me from making a firm decision on this match until further movement occurs.Â
At the same time, United would match a historically profitable system if it reaches +120.Â
Since 2012, road favorites in matches 1-6 are 40-14 SU, assuming two factors:
- The closing moneyline falls between -130 and +122
- The previous head-to-head margin falls between -5 and +1
At a +1 margin in the last meeting: 16-4 SU. All of those factors leave me intrigued in United, but I want to wait on additional market perception.Â
