Fulham vs Brentford Prediction, Odds & Match Preview

See the latest EPL odds, picks, and predictions for Fulham vs Brentford ahead of their matchup on September 20.
  • Fulham is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Brentford.
  • Brentford has scored at least one goal in each of its last 12 EPL away matches.
  • My Fulham vs Brentford prediction is the Brentford Spread (+0.5, -135).

Off a strong result as home dogs to Chelsea, Brentford stays in London to face Fulham.

The Bees used a stoppage-time equalizer to rescue a point against Chelsea. It gave Brentford a second straight ATS success at home compared to two straight failures on the road.

Fulham received a gift from Leeds United on Matchday 4. Late in stoppage time, a Leeds own goal provided all three points to the hosts, who are now 3-1 ATS on the season.

Brentford vs Fulham: Prediction

Based on Brentford’s offensive success this season and Fulham sitting in a sell-high spot, my Fulham vs Brentford prediction is the Brentford Spread (+0.5, -135).

Part of me worries I’m buying high on Brentford’s success. Additionally, Fulham does have the back-to-back home spot advantage with Brentford facing a midweek League Cup match.

As a result, I’ll wait for lineups to come out before making a final prediction on this match.

The good news for Brentford? Its attack looked really good today against Chelsea. Brentford generated over 2.6 post-shot xG against an outstanding Chelsea defense.

Even more impressive: Mikkel Damsgaard missed the entire match, while Dango Ouattara didn’t appear until the second half.

Meanwhile, Fulham sits in an obvious sell spot. If the match against Leeds ultimately finishes level, I wonder if this line isn’t tighter.

Plus, Fulham owns a lackluster attack that has yet to deliver a strong performance this season.

In matches against Brighton, Manchester United, Chelsea and Leeds, Marco Silva’s side has yet to overtake 0.9 post-shot xG.

Without an offensive explosion, I question how Fulham takes all three points. Last year, Silva’s side earned only one win with one or fewer goals.

Additionally, the 3-2 win at Brentford in the most recent meeting flattered Fulham. By post-shot xG, Brentford carried a 2.7-1.9 edge, per fotmob.com.

As a result, I like Brentford to take points from this match and end its road losing streak.
