Crystal Palace vs Nottm Forest Prediction, Odds & Match Preview

See the latest EPL odds, picks, and predictions for Crystal Palace vs Nottm Forest ahead of their matchup on August 24.
  • Crystal Palace is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Nottingham Forest.
  • The 'Second Half Over 0.5 Goals' market has hit in 24 straight Forest road fixtures.
  • My Crystal Palace vs Nottm Forest prediction is for Forest to Win Either Half (+115).

Following a strong result at Chelsea, Crystal Palace welcomes Nottingham Forest to Selhurst Park.

Palace held on late for a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge. Market support favored Palace late, with the visitors producing the lion’s share of scoring chances at Chelsea.

Forest blitzed Brentford 3-1 to open the 2025 season. The Tricky Trees gained a 3-0 advantage at the interval to claim a second win in the last three against the Bees.

Nottm Forest vs Crystal Palace: Prediction

Based on the scheduling advantage for Forest and the looming sales of Palace’s stars, my Crystal Palace vs Nottm Forest prediction is Forest to Win Either Half (+115).

Palace faces a brutal scheduling spot early in the season.

As a result of the team’s demotion from the Europa League to Europa Conference League, Oliver Glasner’s side plays two matches in four days.

Granted, the effect is slightly mitigated with both games at home. But the fact remains Palace enters Sunday’s match with less time to prepare for Forest.

Even more concerning? Palace could sell Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi by the time Sunday’s match arrives.

If that weren’t bad enough, Palace faces a Forest team that excelled against this market last season.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side closed between +100 and +235 20 times last season. They won at least a half in 16 of those games.

Of the four failures, only one saw Forest lose both halves outright. That means on 17 occasions, Forest either drew or won at least one half.

Forest excelled against this market irrespective of price. Last season, Santo’s side won at least a half 25 times in 38 league fixtures, a 65.7% hit rate.

A chance exists for both halves to finish level. Neither team to win either half – read: both halves finish tied – is +360. That implies a probability of 22%.

However, when you factor in the rest advantage for Forest, I’d wager a guess the probability of both halves finishing tied decreases slightly.

Add in the price implies a sub-50% implied probability, and I like the angle on Forest.
