- Bournemouth is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Wolves.
- Wolverhampton has lost four of its last five EPL matches.
- My Bournemouth vs Wolves prediction is Both Teams to Score - "Yes" (-145).
Two teams off bad defensive performances will meet on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth lost 4-2 at Liverpool on opening day. After tying the game 2-2 in the second half, Bournemouth conceded twice late, failing to cover the spread.
Wolves, a home dog to Man City on Matchday 1, lost 4-0. That qualifies as the worst defeat for any team on Matchday 1.

Wolves vs Bournemouth: Prediction
Based on Bournemouth’s attacking metrics at Liverpool and previous attacking success at home, my Bournemouth vs Wolves prediction is Both Teams to Score – “Yes” (-145)
Figuring out this fixture presents a challenge. Last season, unpredictable events marred both meetings between these clubs.
Bournemouth scored four goals at Molineux. However, three of those came via the penalty spot.
Remove those events from consideration, and bettors will find Bournemouth created 1.2 post-shot xG, per fotmob.com.
In the reverse fixture at Bournemouth, the Cherries played down a man for an hour and change. Unsurprisingly, Andoni Iraola’s side created only 0.33 post-shot xG.
However, this is a team that went to Anfield and created loads of chances.
Against a markedly better defense, Bournemouth scored twice off 1.7 xG and 0.8 post-shot xG.
On Saturday, they get a Wolves side that struggled against Man City. While it may look like a buy-low spot for the Wolves defense on paper, history suggests that may not prove true.
Last season, Bournemouth created only four fewer post-shot expected goals than Man City over the entire season.
From a BTTS standpoint, Bournemouth produced strong results as a favorite. In 21 matches as a favorite, BTTS hit in 12 Bournemouth fixtures.
Although it shrinks to 6-of-14 as a home favorite, I’m more inclined to trust the first meeting between these clubs as the representative game.
Last season, Bournemouth failed to score at home only five times.
Essentially, that renders this market a referendum on Wolves’ attack.
For all of their defensive issues last week, Wolves created 0.75 post-shot xG against City. Against a worse Bournemouth defense, expect a goal from the visitors.
