What Is Scrambling in Golf Betting?

In golf betting, scrambling is a statistic that shows a player’s ability to make par (or better) even if a green in regulation is missed.

So, if Jordan Spieth misses the green on a par-3, but still is able to make par, that means he was able to scramble for that hole. If he didn’t make par, that means he did not and would be 0-for-1 scrambling.

This stat is useful, particularly on long and hard courses when players are less likely to hit greens in regulation. If a player is good at scrambling, they have a very good short game.

Some of the best players in scrambling are Matt Kuchar, Jason Day, Brian Harman, Hideki Matsuyama, Danny Willett, and Scottie Scheffler.
