The PGA Tour’s Florida Swing continued with the Valspar Championship from the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida, March 20-23.
Even though it was not a PGA Tour signature event, the field was pretty strong, including Xander Schauffele, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Sam Burns.
In an exciting event, Viktor Hovland bested Justin Thomas down the stretch to pick up his first win since the 2023 Tour Championship.
Hovland finished at 11-under, one better than Thomas.
The purse was $8.7 million, up from $8.4 million a year ago.
