The year’s third major, the U.S. Open, was June 12-15 from Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.
This was the 10th time the course has hosted the event, which is a record.
In a thrilling tournament, J.J. Spaun won his first career major. He finished at 1-under thanks to a long birdie on the last hole to give him a two-shot win.
The final round was delayed a few hours due to heavy rain, but still was able to finish on Sunday.
The purse was $21.5 million, the same as it was in 2024.
