It is expected that the 2027 PGA Tour schedule will look a lot different from the last several years.

The PGA Tour has a new CEO, Brian Rolapp, who has been working closely with the Future Competition Committee on what the Tour’s future will look like.

PGA Tour 2027 Schedule Changes

It has been widely reported that the PGA Tour will likely be shortening its schedule beginning in 2027.

In 2026, there will be 35 regular-season events, including seven PGA Tour signature events, plus three playoff events.

That number will likely decrease in 2027, as many have said the schedule will be cut to around 20 events, with the expectation that all are at the same level. This would likely eliminate the signature events.

It is also expected that the season will begin after the NFL season concludes, as right now the Tour is competing with the NFL playoffs in the first month or so of the year. This makes sense given Rolapp came over from the NFL.

Other rumors include there will be “bye weeks” the week following a major, and the Tour is looking to go to bigger cities, including Boston and Chicago, that it currently does not have regular events in.
