That means Johnson is this year’s Mr. Irrelevant, the annual title that is lovingly bestowed annually on the selection in the NFL Draft.Â
Mr. Irrelevant has been officially awarded every year since 1976.Â
Johnson, who was selected by the Los Angeles Rams, racked up 210 total tackles in five seasons on the defensive line at Toledo. Those college stats include 14.5 career sacks.
Johnson’s status is receiving some increased attention this year after last year’s Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, played major playoff minutes for the San Francisco 49ers during last season’s stretch run and playoffs.
