Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon will become a free agent after the 2026-27 NFL season.Â
The former Cincinnati Bengal was traded to Houston for a 2024 seventh-round pick and was extended for three years, earning $25.5 million with $16 million guaranteed.
Mixon played for seven seasons in Cincinnati, rushing for 1,000 yards four times. His best numbers were back in 2021, when he rushed for 1,205 yards and 13 touchdowns.Â
The former Oklahoma Sooner put up 1,016 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns during his first year in Houston.
