Trevor Lawrence Contract: Salary, Extension With Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence was a widely heralded No. 1 draft pick in 2021. He showed glimpses of what he could be capable of in the 2022 playoffs. 

After three seasons in the pros, the Jaguars’ front office felt like they had seen enough. After exercising their fifth-year option for 2025, they subsequently signed Lawrence to a five-year mega-extension worth more than a quarter of a billion dollars. 

For better or worse, the fate of the Jaguars’ odds are tied to Lawrence. 

Trevor Lawrence Contract

Trevor Lawrence signed a five-year, $275 million contract extension that will keep him in Jacksonville through 2030. 

The contract includes a full no-trade clause.

Trevor Lawrence Signing Bonus

Trevor Lawrence’s contract extension included a signing bonus of $37.5 million. 

Trevor Lawrence Fifth-Year Option

Jacksonville exercised its team option for the fifth year of Lawrence’s rookie contract in April 2024. That means his rookie contract will officially end after the 2025 season, and his new contract extension will kick in for 2026. 

Trevor Lawrence Salary

Trevor Lawrence will make $37.5 million from his NFL contract in 2025.

Most of that – $35 million – is structured as an option bonus to be paid on the 10th day of the league year, which began in March. The remainder is base salary ($2 million) and a workout bonus ($500,000). 

Lawrence’s average annual salary over the life of his five-year extension is $55 million. 

Trevor Lawrence Guaranteed Money

Trevor Lawrence was guaranteed $142 million upon signing his new contract extension. That includes his signing bonus, salaries, and option bonuses through 2026, and part of his 2027 compensation.

An additional $12 million will be fully guaranteed in March 2026, along with $46 million in March 2027.
