Dallas Cowboys’ kicker Efren Herrera missed three field goals in Super Bowl XII, the most missed field goals in a single Super Bowl.

Herrera went 2-for-5 on field-goal attempts in the Cowboys’ 27-10 win over the Denver Broncos. He broke the previous record of two misses by Pittsburgh Steelers’ kicker Roy Gerela in Super Bowl X.

Gerela is tied with eight other players for the second-most missed field goals.
