Full transparency: I’m caught between two minds on this game.Â
On one hand, it’s a buy-low chance on New England after a game they probably should have won. Meanwhile, bettors can sell high on the Panthers after a blowout win as underdogs.Â
On the other hand, the Patriots have done nothing to show they’re worthy of sitting above two key numbers.Â
That leads me to wait and see where the market goes with this game throughout the week. If Carolina reaches +4.5, it would help quell some of my concerns about their ATS viability.Â
However, a chance also exists that bettors could receive a better number on Carolina. If support comes in for New England, I wouldn’t oppose predicting the Panthers cover at +6 or +6.5.Â
