In the NFC, the Eagles (8-2) took over the top spot after Green Bay’s loss to Carolina in Week 9.Â
Philadelphia has retained that spot with two straight wins over the Packers and Lions.

The NFL playoffs begin on Saturday, January 10, with the wild-card round. Three weeks of playoff action follow before Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, February 8.Â

Of the 32 teams in the NFL, 14 make the postseason.Â
Eight of those 14 spots go to the division winners in both conferences. The remaining spots go to the three teams in each conference with the best remaining records.
