  • The Denver Broncos (9-2) are the current No. 1 seed in the AFC.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) retained the NFC's top spot after wins over Green Bay and Detroit.
  • Entering Week 12, 10 AFC teams own records at or above .500 compared to nine in the NFC.

If the NFL playoffs began today, home field would run through Denver and Philadelphia.

With the Colts on a bye week, the Broncos took over the top seed after a 22-19 win over the Chiefs. Denver is tied with the Patriots at 9-2, but wins the tiebreaker with a better conference record.

In the NFC, the Eagles (8-2) took over the top spot after Green Bay’s loss to Carolina in Week 9.

Philadelphia has retained that spot with two straight wins over the Packers and Lions.

Here are the current NFL Playoff Brackets for both conferences if the season ended today.
