  • Joe Burrow (+450) is predicted to lead the NFL in passing yards this year.
  • After Burrow, the next players - Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott - are priced at +1000.
  • I predict Dak Prescott (+1000) or Jordan Love (+2500) leads the NFL in passing yards.

Below, bettors can find NFL odds for all quarterbacks to lead the NFL in passing yards.

Last year, Joe Burrow led the NFL in passing yards with 4,918. Based on that performance, Burrow enters 2025 as the favorite with current odds of

A steep decline occurs after Burrow, the only player listed in single digits. After Burrow comes seven players between +1000 and +1500.

Notables include Patrick Mahomes (), Jared Goff () and C.J. Stroud ()

NFL Passing Yards Leader: Predictions

Dak Prescott (+1000) to Lead the NFL in Pass Yards

If Dallas does anything besides throw the ball at a rapid pace, I’ll come away from the season surprised.

Dallas possesses a running back room that leaves much to be desired. Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders and rookie Jaydon Blue simply don’t match Dallas’ passing game.

Prescott returns from injury this year to a strong receiving group. CeeDee Lamb counts himself amongst the best receivers in the league, and George Pickens arrives from Pittsburgh.

Tight end Jake Ferguson also plays a prominent role in the passing game with Prescott. Last year, 68% of his yards, 60% of his targets and 66% of his receptions came with Prescott.

Irrespective of the receiving group, Prescott has sniffed the lead for this market previously. In 2023, he finished third in passing yards, only 108 yards shy of Tua Tagovailoa.

Before 2023, Prescott played another full season in 2021. That year, he finished seventh in passing yards (4,449).

In both those seasons, the Cowboys ranked 11th in pass play percentage.

Plus, the Cowboys’ offense posted very efficient marks passing the ball in 2023. The team finished second in both EPA per play and success rate through the air.

That represents a four- and six-spot improvement from Prescott’s metrics in 2021.

Barring another injury, expect Prescott to contend for the league lead in passing yards.

Jordan Love (+2500) to Lead the NFL in Pass Yards

This market comes down to the play of Love’s pass catchers. If improvement comes in 2025, I believe Love contends for the MVP and the passing yards leader.

Over the last two years, Love ranks eighth in EPA per play. However, he drops to a dismal 18th in success rate.

Just last season, Love ranked third in the league in incompletions due to wide receiver error, per Sharp Football Analysis.

In 2023, Love ranked second in both categories from Week 10 onward. Last season, he ranked seventh in adjusted EPA per play compared to 15th in success rate.

Play improved as the 2024 season progressed. From Week 9 onward, Love ranked sixth in adjusted EPA per play against 10th in success rate.

Love failed to sniff the top of these rankings in 2024, largely due to injury. However, back in 2023 – his “rookie” season – Love finished seventh in these rankings.

Of course, that season featured an inferior running backs room to this year’s version.

However, the price is too good to ignore, given that the problems are easily solvable by Green Bay pass catchers.
