- The Giants’ 2025 win total is set at 5.5 wins at BetMGM.
- The Giants finished under their win total for the second straight year in 2024.
- I predict a difficult schedule leads to New York finishing under this total.
For the 2025 NFL season, the Giants’ win total sits at 5.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook.Â
New York’s struggles continued in 2024 with the Giants notching only three wins. It marked the second straight year New York failed to clear its season win total.Â
Ahead of the 2025 campaign, New York turns to Russell Wilson to try and revitalize an anemic offense. Defensively, New York finished 20th or worse in DVOA every year since 2021.Â
Here’s a look at the NFL odds for New York’s 2025 win total and my Giants win total prediction.Â
Giants Win Total Odds
The Giants’ season win total is set at 5.5 games.Â
Based on pricing, it’s predicted the Giants are more likely to finish with six or more wins. Currently, New York is to finish under the total.Â
Conversely, the Giants are to win six or more games this year.
Here are the 2025 NFL win totals for all NFC East teams:
- Philadelphia Eagles: 11.5 Wins
- Washington Commanders: 9.5 Wins
- Dallas Cowboys: 7.5 Wins
- New York Giants: 5.5 Wins
Giants Win Total Prediction 2025
New York Giants Under 5.5 Wins (-145)
Based on implied probability, the Giants are predicted to have under 5.5 wins with 50% confidence. Given the difficulty of New York’s schedule in 2025, I predict the Giants finish Under 5.5 Wins (-145).Â
Â
The good news for the Giants’ backers is the team ran wildly unlucky in 2024 and enters 2025 a positive regression candidate.Â
New York finished the season 3-14, but it came against a 4.5-12.5 expected win-loss record. Driving that underperformance: a 1-7 record in games decided by a touchdown or less.Â
Head coach Brian Daboll’s squad also finished 0-6 within the division. All four losses against the Commanders and Cowboys came by seven or fewer points.Â
That only leaves upward growth within the division. Plus, history suggests the Giants are a strong bet to clear their total as a function of their underperformance.Â
Since the schedule expanded to 17 games, seven teams notched seven or fewer wins while underperforming their expected win total by at least 1.5 wins.Â
The next season, all seven teams saw at least a two-win improvement. Three of those teams finished with four or fewer wins and all improved to at least seven wins.Â
What’s keeping me from backing the Giants in this situation, though, is the insanely difficult schedule they play in 2025.Â
Based on cumulative opponent win totals, the Giants face the league’s hardest schedule in 2025 (155.5). For context, the team with the second-hardest schedule sits at 151.5.Â
Excluding their usual division games, the Giants face the NFC North and AFC West. Their three unique games come against San Francisco, New England and New Orleans.Â
Without knowing the injury fortunes of their 2025 opponents, it’s likely the Giants close a market favorite once at most in 2025.Â
That’s an issue for Daboll, who recorded an 8-24 SU record as market underdogs in the last two seasons.Â
It’s simultaneously difficult to envision how the Giants’ defense improves to a point where their offensive can display competence.Â
The Giants finished 28th in defensive DVOA last season against the 14th-hardest set of opposing offenses, per ftnfantasy.com.Â
This season, they’re projected to face the league’s 12th-hardest set of offenses based on DVOA ratings from 2024.Â
For those reasons, I’ll buck the historical trend and take the Giants to finish under their win total.Â
Most Wins in Giants History
The Giants’ franchise record for most regular season wins in a season is 14, which occurred in 1986 en route to winning their first Super Bowl.
Fewest Wins in Giants History
The Giants lowest win total in franchise history is one in 1966 when they went 1-12-1. It was an outlier sandwiched between two seven-win seasons.
