Since 1974, when the NFL implemented overtime as part of the gameplay, no team has completed a season with two tie games.
Before the overtime rules, 1973 saw four different teams finish their respective seasons with two tie games: the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs.
The most recent tie game took place on Sept. 28, 2025, when the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys ended in a 40-40 tie after Brandon Aubrey and Brandon McManus traded field goals at the end of overtime.
