Jaxon Smith-Njigba Contract: Salary With Seahawks

Jaxon Smith-Njigba left Ohio State after 2022 as arguably the most talented receiver the Buckeyes have ever produced.

In Year 3 with the Seahawks, with the receiver room now absent DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, JSN has completely exceeded all expectations. The soon-to-be All-Pro has a real chance to break Calvin Johnson’s record for most receiving yards in a single NFL season.

Will he get paid this offseason? Perhaps. It’s a good time to be a receiver right now, and JSN would surely command a fortune on the open market.

But with a club option still there for 2027, and the franchise tag potentially available for 2028 and beyond, the Seahawks have some flexibility in when they want to back up the money truck for their No. 1 receiver.

As long as Seattle has functional quarterback play, JSN and the rest of the offense should keep the Seahawks’ odds market in good shape for years to come.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Contract

After he was drafted with the No. 20 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Jaxon Smith-Njigba signed a four-year contract worth $14,417,307. He received a signing bonus of $7,485,316.

Because he was a first-round pick, JSN’s rookie contract is fully guaranteed.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Fifth-Year Option

Like all first-round picks, JSN’s rookie contract can be extended by the Seahawks as part of his fifth-year option. That extension would apply to the 2027 NFL season.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Salary

Jaxon Smith-Njigba will make $2,067,909 from his NFL contract in 2025.

That money breaks down into $1,550,664 in base salary, plus a $510,000 roster bonus and a $7,245 workout bonus.
