Running backs aren’t exactly known for their shelf life and overall value in the modern NFL, but Derrick Henry has been a major exception to the common wisdom.

When his time ran short in Nashville, many NFL fans assumed Henry would become just another former star, playing out the string in an unfamiliar jersey.

Instead, Henry has continued to dominate opposing defenses, churning out yards by the hundreds. He’s found new life in Baltimore as the more traditional, old-school cog in a dynamic ground game.

Baltimore was so impressed by Henry after the first year of his two-year contract that they extended him for an additional two years on May 14.
