  • The Commanders are a 5.5-point home favorite against the Titans.
  • The Commanders have lost each of their last 10 home games in December.
  • My Commanders vs. Titans prediction is for Tennessee to cover the spread.

Hoping to end a three-game losing streak, the Commanders host the Titans at Northwest Stadium.

Washington suffered an embarrassing 34-26 loss to Dallas last week as 10.5-point home favorites. After starting the season 7-2, Washington now sits at 7-5.

Tennessee earned an outright win and cover as 8.5-point road dogs against the Texans last week. Still, the Titans are a dismal 2-9 ATS on the season.

NFL Week 13 Odds: Commanders vs. Titans

Commanders vs. Titans Prediction

Based on Tennessee’s ability to defend the run and the falloff of Washington’s offense, my Commanders vs. Titans prediction is the Titans Spread (+6, -110).

Something is off with Washington’s offense.

In Weeks 1-7, the Commanders ranked first in EPA per play and fourth in offensive success rate. Since Week 8, they rank 18th and 16th in those respective metrics.

Some of that can be attributed to Washington playing good defenses. For all their issues this season, the Titans do possess a strong defense.

Tennessee ranks ninth in defensive DVOA, including fifth in rush defense DVOA, per ftnfantasy.com. Last week in Houston, they limited the Texans to 40 rushing yards!

There are question marks about the status of both Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler for Sunday’s meeting.

If either or both are out for Washington, I question Kliff Kingsbury’s ability to scheme an effective offensive strategy against a good defense.

While there’s little to like about Tennessee’s offense, there’s a path to them moving the ball.

The Titans rank 16th in yards per rush attempt and get a Washington defense that ranks 27th in the corresponding defensive category.

Perhaps surprisingly, Tennessee has amassed over 100 rushing yards in all but three games this year.

If that trend continues and the Tennessee defense continues to limit the run, I like this spot for the Titans against a fragile Commanders team.
