- The Colts are a 3.5-point home favorite against the Titans.
- The Titans have lost 14 of their last 15 Sunday road games.
- My Colts vs. Titans prediction is for Tennessee to cover the spread.
Hanging onto their hopes of a playoff spot, the Colts welcome the Titans to Indianapolis for a Week 16 AFC South matchup.Â
Indianapolis received a 31-13 road loss in Week 15 against Denver, falling to 6-8 and handing the division to Houston. Still, Shane Steichen’s squad has an outside shot at a playoff berth.Â
Tennessee’s ATS difficulties continued in Week 15 with a loss and non-cover as home dogs to the Bengals. The good news? Tennessee covered in its last game as divisional underdogs.Â

Colts vs. Titans Prediction
[Writer’s Note: This analysis was written earlier in the week when the Titans were listed as 4.5-point underdogs. At +3.5, I have no strong feeling on the game].
Based on the Titans’ success against the Colts earlier this season and the AFC South’s record as divisional dogs, my Colts vs. Titans prediction is the Titans Spread (+4.5, -110).Â
Titans head coach Brian Callahan left the door open for Mason Rudolph to start on Sunday after Rudolph relieved Will Levis against the Bengals.Â
I prefer Rudolph as the quarterback on Sunday, but the fact remains this number is far too high.Â
If you blind bet the underdog in every AFC South divisional game this year, you’d go 8-0 ATS.Â
While blindly following that trend feels like a trap to me, Tennessee’s performance against Indy earlier this season leaves me encouraged.Â
Tennessee lost 20-17, but it closed a market favorite in that contest. In that contest, they held the Colts to only 269 yards on offense.Â
Plus, for all of Tennessee’s ATS issues this season, they’ve managed to stay within this number in every divisional contest this season.Â
That makes this a great buy-low spot on the Titans, which have lost three straight games.Â
Since 2003, road dogs that have lost three straight against a favorite on a one-game losing streak with a win percentage between 30% and 57% are 27-4 ATS.Â
Plus, the Colts feel like a popular side both against the spread and in moneyline parlays for public bettors, so I’ll take the points north of two key numbers.Â
