Williams’ selection provided an edge for the Trojans, which last saw a player selected first overall in 2003. Three schools – Georgia, Notre Dame and Oklahoma – are tied for second.Â
Based on NFL Draft odds in 2025, Miami quarterback Cam Ward is projected to go first overall. If Ward hears his name first, it will mark the third time Miami saw a player selected first overall.Â
That would move the Hurricanes into a tie for seventh in terms of the most players selected first overall.Â
