Browns Playoff Chances, Prediction for 2025

Based on NFL odds and Browns playoff odds, the Cleveland Browns are predicted to miss the postseason this year. 

A season after finishing 11-6, Cleveland fell to 3-14 in 2024, when they closed at +140 to make the playoffs. Now, Cleveland is  to make the playoffs in 2025. 

Conversely, Kevin Stefanski’s team is  to miss the playoffs. 

Prediction: Will the Cleveland Browns Make the Playoffs? 

Based on Cleveland’s difficult schedule and the unlikely improvement of the defense, I predict the Browns earn the Fewest Wins in the NFL (+450). 

BET: Browns Fewest Regular Season Wins @ +1200

Although it qualifies as the shortest price on the board, numerous reasons exist to fade the Browns in 2025. 

Uncertainty at quarterback plagues a team playing the league’s second-hardest schedule by opponent win totals. 

If the Browns fall in Week 1 to Cincinnati, there’s a real chance the team starts 0-8. 

The next seven games for Cleveland come against Baltimore, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Miami and New England. 

Realistically, two of those games are winnable. But the Browns get Minnesota in London – the Vikings play in Ireland the week prior – and follow with Pittsburgh, who has a Week 5 bye. 

By the time Week 9 arrives, Cleveland could find itself in full tank mode to secure the number one draft pick. 

For bettors to think the Browns improve, it likely starts with a defense that retained Myles Garrett this offseason.

In 2023, the Browns finished second in defensive DVOA against the seventh-hardest set of opposing offenses, per ftnfantasy.com. 

Last season, Cleveland fell to 25th against the second-hardest set of offenses. 

On paper, the Browns face another brutal schedule of offenses this season. Based on 2024 offensive DVOA ratings, the Browns face the league’s hardest schedule of opposing offenses. 

All told, Cleveland plays seven games against 2024’s five best offenses and eight against teams ninth or better. 

Last season, the Browns finished 1-14 when allowing 20 or more points. Their lone win came luckily against Baltimore, who played a short week road game off Monday Night Football. 

Offensively, the Browns rated out as the worst offense of any team since 2021. Even with multiple options at quarterback, I expect not much improvement comes with a new coordinator. 

For those reasons, I like the Browns to claim the fewest wins in the NFL next season.
