Buccaneers vs. Eagles: NFL Week 4 Odds, Prediction

See the latest NFL Week 4 odds, picks and predictions for Buccaneers vs. Eagles on September 28 at Raymond James Stadium.
  • The Buccaneers are a 3.5-point home underdog against the Eagles.
  • The Eagles have won 19 of their last 20 games.
  • My Buccaneers vs Eagles prediction is to wait for Tampa Bay injury news.

A pair of 3-0 teams meet on Sunday in Tampa Bay as the Buccaneers host the Eagles.

Both teams captured dramatic victories in Week 3. Philadelphia trailed 27-6 but stormed back to win 34-27 against the Rams.

The win included a blocked-kick-turned-touchdown that saw Philly cover the spread as time expired

Tampa Bay looked in control against the Jets. However, Tampa Bay kicked a game-winning field goal after allowing a blocked-kick-turned-touchdown to win outright while failing to cover.

Buccaneers vs. Eagles Prediction

Sunday, September 21

If Tampa Bay’s offensive injuries fail to play, my Buccaneers vs Eagles prediction is the Philadelphia Eagles Moneyline (-165).

Neither of these teams deserves to be 3-0. The fact that one of them is about to go to 4-0 is a head-scratcher given all the close games they’ve played.

Both teams find themselves in sell-high spots, but the Eagles enter Sunday’s game as the healthier team.

That could change this week. Mike Evans exited Sunday’s game with a hamstring issue, but appears to have received positive news based on early reports.

Tristan Wirfs also could return for Sunday’s game. That would help against a strong Eagles front seven, which would likely decimate Tampa Bay if he fails to play.

Injuries aside, this meeting qualifies as a revenge spot for Philadelphia. Tampa Bay handled the Eagles 33-16 in Week 3 last year.

However, the Eagles played without A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Lane Johnson.

Additionally, the Bucs experienced extreme luck through three games. Todd Bowles’ side sits at 3-0 with wins by three, one and two points.

Exclusive of Week 3, Philadelphia owns a seven-spot edge over Tampa Bay in team DVOA, per ftnfantasy.com.

Given those factors, I like the Eagles to move to 4-0 come Sunday.
