Broncos vs. Raiders: NFL Week 10 Odds, Prediction

  • The Broncos are a 9.5-point home favorite against the Raiders.
  • The Broncos have won each of their last nine home games.
  • My Broncos vs Raiders prediction is for the Raiders (+9.5) to cover the spread.

The Broncos will go for a seventh straight win as big home favorites against the Raiders on TNF.

Denver rode its defense to yet another win in Week 9. As a short road underdog, Bo Nix led the Broncos to an 18-15 win over the Texans. That keeps Denver atop the AFC West.

Las Vegas fell in overtime to the Jaguars, covering the spread as 2.5-point home dogs. It marks the third time over the previous four games that Vegas allowed 30+ points.

Broncos vs. Raiders Prediction

Based on Denver’s penchant for close games and the Raiders’ improved offense on Sunday, my Broncos vs Raiders prediction is the Raiders Spread (+9.5, -110).

Upon first glance, this feels like way too many points. Denver has won six in a row, but only two of those games saw the Broncos cover the number.

The worry with Las Vegas: How does the team react on a short week following an overtime loss?

That fact quells some interest in the Raiders, which has now lost eight straight division games.

If there’s a case for Vegas, it’s that the offense performed better with Brock Bowers returning on Sunday.

Against a Jags defense that’s more opportunistic than good, Las Vegas averaged 5.5 yards per play, besting Jacksonville by 0.7 yards per play.

Additionally, the Raiders defense has quietly played okay this season.

Entering Week 9, the Raiders ranked 13th in defensive DVOA, having played the fifth-hardest set of offenses, per ftnfantasy.com.

Denver, exclusive of Week 9, sits 15th in the corresponding offensive category. However, it has come against the league’s easiest schedule of defenses.

Denver’s home successes covering this number came against Cincinnati and Dallas. By defensive DVOA, those teams rate out as the two worst defenses in the league.

For those reasons, it’s the Raiders or nothing on Thursday night in Denver.
