There are moments on fall Sundays when Brandon Aubrey does not appear to be a human being. The Cowboys’ star place-kicker routinely boots 60-yard field goals with a regularity that seems to mock the rest of NFL history.
Since joining the Cowboys in 2023, he has set several Dallas franchise and NFL records. That includes a 65-yard field goal he made against the Baltimore Ravens in 2024, which is the second-longest ever in the history of the league.
My personal favorite Aubrey moment was the end of regulation against tche New York Giants in Week 2 of the 2025 season, when Dallas opted not to pass the ball at midfield, trailing by three with only seconds left in the game. Instead, they just ran the ball to set up Aubrey’s preferred angle for a 64-yard field goal to force overtime.Â
The team is that confident in his leg.
So, here’s the big question: What does a kicker with an indomitable leg get paid in today’s NFL?
It might be less than you think.
Brandon Aubrey Contract
In 2023, Brandon Aubrey signed a three-year minimum contract with the Dallas Cowboys worth $2,695,000.
For the moment, he’s set to become a free agent in 2026, where he will surely command quite a bit more money on the open market.Â
Brandon Aubrey Salary
Brandon Aubrey will make $1,039,450 from his NFL contract during the 2025 season. Most of that is base salary, with a workout bonus of $9,450 added on top.
